Privacy Policy
Overview
This policy explains how Despina ("we", "us") handles personal data on this website and in the mobile applications we publish on the App Store and Google Play (together, the "Services"). Our approach is simple: we collect as little as possible, we never sell personal data, and we explain what we do in plain language.
Where an individual app collects data beyond what is described here, that app's store listing and in-app privacy notice take precedence for that app.
Information we collect
On this website. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics on this site, and fonts are served from our own domain rather than a third party. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and operational purposes.
When you contact us. If you write to us by email or through the contact form, we receive your name, email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use this only to reply to you.
In our apps. Depending on the app, we may process:
- Content you create in the app, which is stored on your device and, if you enable it, in your personal iCloud or Google account for sync and backup.
- Diagnostic data such as crash reports and performance metrics, collected through Apple, Google or Firebase Crashlytics and used only to find and fix problems.
- Purchase information for in-app purchases and subscriptions. Payments are handled entirely by Apple or Google; we never see your payment details.
- Usage analytics, where enabled, limited to aggregated, non-identifying events (for example, which features are used) so we can improve the app.
We do not ask for more permissions than a feature needs, and we explain why a permission is required at the moment we request it.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain and improve the Services.
- To respond to your messages and support requests.
- To detect, prevent and fix technical problems.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not use personal data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
Third-party services
Our apps are distributed through Apple's App Store and Google Play, and may rely on platform services such as iCloud, Google Play Services, Firebase or TestFlight. These providers process data under their own privacy policies:
Data retention
Email correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards. Diagnostic and analytics data is retained for a limited time by the service that collects it, then deleted or aggregated. Content you create in an app stays on your device or in your own cloud account and is removed when you delete it or uninstall the app.
Children
Our Services are not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at appdespina@gmail.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the data we hold, including encryption in transit and access limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date above. Significant changes to how an app handles data will also be announced in that app's release notes.
